Bonne Garde has an exciting opportunity available for a Translator to be based in Maputo, Mozambique. The incumbent will be responsible for the translating of all aspects of work from English into Portuguese and vice versa.
Minimum requirements:
- 1 – 2 years’ experience in Translation Software.
- Must have excellent proofreading skills including spelling, grammer and punctuation errors.
- Computer literate (MS Word, MS Outlook & MS Excel).
Advantageous:
- Relevant Diploma or Degree.
- Previous experience in copywriting or translation.
Responsibilities:
- Proofreading and translating texts / documents from English into Portuguese.
- Proofreading and translating texts / documents from Portuguese into English.
- Ensuring the accuracy and quality of the material is 100% before delivering.
- Proofread translated texts for grammar, spelling and punctuation accuracy.
- Read given material and research industry-specific terminology.
- Cross-reference specialized dictionaries and translation tools to check quality of translation.
- Any other ad hoc duties that might be required.
