VdE | Professor de Língua Portuguesa - Ensino Médio | American International School of Mozambique
We are seeking a master teacher of Portuguese, both to mother tongue speakers and to learners of Portuguese as an additional language, for a part time, 80% teaching position that could grow to 100% in the coming years. A successful candidate must have a minimum of three years of teaching experience in an accredited school and will be focused closely on student learning. Expertise inbuilding productive, receptive, and critical literacy in first-language and fluent speakers of Portuguese is a must. A successful candidate will be comfortable planning and designing curriculum, assessment. and instructional activities, including resourcing, that reflects the diverse educational, cultural, and linguistic backgrounds of our students. In the current global climate, we also seek teachers with the ability and willingness to teach online and/or in a hybrid context, as necessary English language proficiency is necessary, as well, as our primary language of communication at AISM is English.
We are hard at work crafting and refining our curriculum and our pedagogy in a dynamic community of practice. AISM is an International Baccalaureate World School, comprised of the Primary Years, Middle Years, and Diploma Programmes. 1B experience is not required. and we provide initial and ongoing training as necessary.
