Short Description/ Purpose of Job
Schedule work to be executed in SAP PM, regular maintenance such as preventive and corrective Maintenance activities as well as larger overhauls and rebuilds. The focused objective is related to the efficient execution of work by supporting the Planner in relation to making sure that the right parts will be available for the scheduled execution of the work, special tools required are available, permits will be available, finalizing the resource loading, achieving alignment and agreement with maintenance execution and operations in the work execution area with the planner.

Policies, Systems, Processes & Procedures
Follow all relevant operational procedures and instructions so that work is carried out in safe, controlled and consistent manner;
Departmental Reports
Generate or assist in generation of any departmental reports as per Management request, in a timely and accurate manner in order to meet company and department requirements governing reporting;
Health, Safety and Environment
Comply with all agreed occupational health, safety and environmental regulations in order to protect personnel and physical assets. Ensure that the work areas are kept in a clean and tidy state in order that work can be carried out safely, effectively and efficiently;
Adhere to world leading practices for safety, health & environmental standards as put forward by Sasol;
Continuous improvement
Provide input and recommend the continuous improvement of the company practices considering international leading practice, changes in international standards and changes in the business environment which demand proactive action plans;
Contribute to the identification of opportunities for continuous improvement of department systems, processes and practices, cost reduction and productivity improvement.
Quality Management
Responsible for the development and implementation of quality management systems and procedures;
To filter key points from complex details and develop plans accordingly;
Commissioning and Start
Support the development of maintenance strategies for new assets;
Populate master data for new assets;
Confirm master data against field installation for new assets.
Job Specific
Schedules work to be executed in SAP PM, regular maintenance such as Preventive and Corrective Maintenance activities as well as larger overhauls and rebuilds;
Schedules and supports efficient execution of work by:
Ensuring the right skills are properly loaded for work volume for the period;
Ensuring the right parts are available for execution of the work (reserve, inspect spares from warehouse, deliver them to the designated staging area);
Special tools required are available for the execution of the work;
Coordinate permits preparation with Permit Authorizers & Execution representative prior to the execution of work;
Finalize resource loading for the work to be executed;
Achieve alignment and agreement with maintenance execution and operations in the work execution area with the Planner;
Participate post – execution analysis for organizational lessons learned and continuous improvement for larger overhauls & rebuilds;
Formal Education
• Technical Trade qualification;
• The candidate for the position of Maintenance Scheduler must hold NQF 4 Occupational Trade Qualification; OR NQF 4 Qualification (with the NQF 4 Occupational Trade Qualification) – Electrical.

Min Experience
5 years’ experience in Maintenance execution
It would be an advantage to have a minimum of 5 years of planning & scheduling practical experience and be familiarized with computer-based planning tools/software’s (MS Project, Excel, Prometheus, etc.) and have strong knowledge of Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (SAP PM) Strong knowledge of Work Management Process.
Good understanding of Asset Management practices and procedures and the ability to integrate maintenance activities within process operations.
Understating of the various statutory regulations relating to the industry as well as company policies, particularly those relating to SHE.
