Aury Africa Mozambique Lda, a Global Mining OEM is looking to hire an Accountant, to be based in Tete, Mozambique. The Accountant will be responsible for leading and managing the reporting & accounting function, developing and implementing reporting plans along with the policies and procedures of the group.
Key aspects of this role will include but not be limited to:
- Ensure management of the general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable and all other accounting requirements, in compliance with local accounting policies and procedures.
- Monthly financial management reporting including, P&L, balance sheet and cashflow statement.
- Support half year and year end Group requirements through providing data and respond to queries in a timely manner.
- Preparation of regular financial and management reporting including assisting with commentary and analysis.
- Ensure effective financial controls and compliance.
- Assist with month end closures within the Finance team.
- Assist with Annual Budget.
- Build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Assisting with external audit requirements.
- Actively identifying opportunities for improvements.
- Well-developed written and verbal communication skills.
- Other duties and projects as required.
To be considered for this role your skills and attributes should include:
- Minimum 5 years' experience within a similar accounting role
- CPA qualifications
- Bachelor degree in accounting
- Proven attention to detail and problem solving skills
- Proactive and shows initiative
- Advanced MS Excel essential
- Strong sense of accountability & ownership
- Ability to work as a team and also independently
- Good communication skills in both English and Portuguese.
