About The Role
Sightsavers are seeking an experienced Driver to join the Mozambique office and drive staff, visitors and consultants when required and to maintain all office vehicles, as well as supporting them team with office based duties such as administration and involvement with invoices for procurement logistics.
__PRESENT
The Driver key duties and accountabilities include
- Drive Sightsavers staff to & from Airports where this service is not outsourced.
- Drive Sightsavers vehicle as appropriate for official errands.
- Keep vehicles in a clean condition inside and outside.
- Check tyres, logbooks, tools, etc. and test drive each vehicle once a week.
- Undertake routine maintenance of vehicles, including simple repairs.
- Keep a maintenance record of vehicles. e.g. replacement of major parts, tyres, batteries, body spraying, etc.
- Maintain liaison with officials of immigration and embassies for staff entry visas and renewal of passports and work permits.
- Assist in picking up invoices for procuring logistics.
- Assist with the organisation of various office events (seminar, plenaries, meetings, workshops, Away Days etc).
- Undertake photocopying, scanning and filling as when required.

__PRESENT
As the successful candidate you will possess;
- Middle Education Certificate.
- Substantial driving experience.
- Experience with working with NGOs.
- Good attention to detail.
- Good command of spoken Portuguese/English.
- Capacity to assist and support field team when required.
- Full clean driving licence.

We anticipate that remote interviews will take place from 23 November 2022 and the evaluation process will include a one hour driving test and a 45 minute oral interview. Please be advised that you will be require to bring your driving licence for the test.
