ABOUT MOZAL:

Mozal, SA is a benchmark for mega-projects in developing countries; located in Maputo Province, Mozal produces high-quality, primary aluminium for the domestic and export markets.

ABOUT THE ROLE:

This role is a permanent full-time position.

As a Safety & Assurance Specialist, you will monitor governance and compliance of HSERQ across dedicated Department and key HSERQ initiatives across Mozal..

Other key responsibilities include, but aren’t limited to:

•Plan and coordinate HSERQ programs across site;

•Collaborate with risk workstream;

•Embed the ISO45001 system and process across the Site;

•Support planning, scheduling, execution, administration and reporting of the integrated first assurance and compliance activities, including but not limited to ISO45001, ISO9001 and ISO14001, ICMM, ASI audits (internal and external) and first, second and third line HSERQ assurance activities;

•Manage the planning and scheduling of ISO45001, ISO9001 and safety systems’ management reviews.

ABOUT YOU:

You will have experience and demonstrate capability in the following:

•Minimum five years of experience in the field of industrial HSERQ;

•Experience in a smelting, process or manufacturing environment is advantageous;

•Experience in risk assessments and incident investigations is advantageous;

•Fluent in Portuguese and English.

Qualifications for this role are:

• Technical Degree or Diploma in Engineering, Risk or Safety;

•A safety qualification such as NEBOSH will be advantageous
