JOB DESCRIPTION
- Responsible to follow the Safety guidelines of the DP World Maputo terminal
- Coordinating the Implementation of the HSE Management System
- Conducts Risk Assessment and development of control measures (SOP) and Safe Systems of work and ensures that staff are trained in SOPs.
- Makes sure the induction programs are reviewed and updated according to the changes in the processes and ensuring that supervisors and staff always use the updated versions
- Conducts induction training as necessary or ensures that all new staff, contractors and visitors are given induction and safety equipment accordingly
- Respond to incident site immediately on receiving intimation
- Present a report every Tuesday on Seat Belt and Traffic Plan compliance, and Safety Briefing Attendance
- Carry out full investigations of all incidents and give hard copies to the documentation clerk to fill into the system
- Uses ICAM to conduct investigations above a risk level of 3
- Carry out random checks to monitor compliance to the safety policy
- In-case any security personal reports a safety breach, to start investigating
- Supervise the HSE Coordinators in conducting Risk Assessments, defining controls and creating standard operating procedures to decrease risk to employees
- In coordination with the HSSE Manager, updates the HSE portal in terms of SE reporting and CIRs and ensures the data is correct.
- Conduct rounds to check if standard operating procedures are followed and takes action to ensure compliance
- Make sure reports are prepared periodically regarding Safety situation for the DP World Maputo Management and the Regional Office
